My day job is heading Hart Capital Management's marketing communications activities. This includes but is not limited to: all marketing materials and branding, client presentations, quarterly newsletters, webcast presentations, client and prospecting events, and website updates. You can find some work samples below.
I also created (but do not write) our blog, seen here.
Two important notes regarding my work at Hart Capital Management, Inc. 1) Items on this website are not necessarily compliance approved, and nothing on this website is meant as an advertisement for Hart Capital Management, Inc., they are simply design samples.
2) The logo and brand image were developed by Klundt Hosmer. The corporate colors, slanted line design, and top and right hand side borders are all design elements established by Klundt Hosmer. I have merely taken their base elements and developed them for further use.

I am a yearbook nerd at heart. I spent seven years on yearbook staffs. Year 1: writing, Year 2: copy editing, Year 3: head editor, Year 4: section editor, Year 5: head editor, Year 6: head editor again. I started with Page Maker and have grown up to InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop CS5.
I cannot explain what it is about envisioning, planning, developing, then finally publishing a huge design project, but it makes me giddy just thinking about it. I thrive off of projects like this.

I am lucky enough that my experience on Gonzaga's yearbook staff landed me a gig with Gonzaga Student Life. I was very excited to design the 2010-2011 Student Handbook Cover. I am no more a photographer than anyone who keeps a journal is a writer. I have found myself in some neat places and captured some breathtaking moments, though.
I like to stand out with my projects. That's what I did with my 2010 graduation cap (seen above). My creativity and detail orientation doesn't stop with my work projects. I carry them over into everything that I do.

Gonzaga Spires Yearbook Editor in Chief, Spokane, WA August 2008-May 2010
Oversaw production of 200 page university yearbook by hiring, training, and
directing staff. Planned content, implemented a design theme, and established
consistent elements. Managed $45,000 budget while working with a publisher
to negotiate contracts and create deadlines. Marketed and distributed finished
product of 2000 books. Increased student ratings of yearbook as “good” or “
excellent” by 33%.
